Welcome!!
Hey, and welcome to my blog. I'm Daisy, 17 and a passionate bookworm (or cat as I have a deep love for them too). Currently, I'm a 6th form student studying for my A levels in English literature, history and biology. I hope to continue to study English at university next year.
I decided to start this blog after having a really hard year (I might do a post on this at some point) and not being in the right place to be able to enjoy reading for myself or for pleasure. Therefore, I thought by writing a blog about how much I love reading and books, will help me be motivated to keep trying as it's such an important part of my life. By having a blog specifically for reading and books will help me remember my love for it and allow me to share my passion with other people.
My current read is 'The Kite Runner' by Khaled Hosseini. This is a book I have to study for my English exams and I'm really enjoying it, though I have to admit it has made me cry a few times!
I do read a fair amount of young adult books and I'm quite a fan of fantasy and I always love a good psychological thriller.
In future posts,I am thinking of doing posts on books I've read recently, books I would like to read, maybe my favourites in genres and perhaps anaylsis on some books, one of my particular interest is how books link to the context their written in, so how they link to the real world or the author's lives, for example.
I hope this little welcome post has helped you to get to know me a little and maybe entice you into reading future posts, maybe?
